Our Story
We are an independently owned neighborhood bistro that provides fresh, innovative food in a hip, family environment.
Established in 2007
Since 1992 owners Mike & Doug have been following The Dave Matthews band around the country to watch concerts. Along the way, we noticed a need for restaurants that featured quality breakfast food. After hundreds of shows and below-average breakfast food, we decided to open a restaurant and change everyone’s perception of brunch. On October 22nd of 2007, The Egg Bistro in Chesapeake VA was hatched. Firm believers that breakfast is the most important meal of the day we have made it our mission to create a menu featuring fresh and creative dishes.
We often use the freshest locally sourced products from Virginia and North Carolina when available. The crew is constantly working on new food items as well as adding fun and funky drinks to the bar menu. Featuring 6 rotating local craft beers on tap and the best bloody Marys & mimosas in Virginia.
Now with three convenient locations including our newest in the Haygood section of Virginia Beach, Virginia. We look forward to the opportunity to make you a lifelong guest and remember to eat, drink and be merry.

Catering
You can enjoy our food at home or in the office with Egg Bistro catering!
Love the Egg Bistro so much that you want to take it with you? We offer pick-up or delivered catering 7 days a week. Weekends can be a little busy so we stop catering at 8 am on Saturdays & Sundays.
We ask for catering orders of $200 or less to be submitted at least 48 hours in advance. Larger catering orders will need additional time to prepare so we ask a minimum of 72 hours. Our catering menu is available online and you can get additional information or place orders by visiting the catering tab or by calling 757-819-1550.
RESERVATIONS & CALL AHEAD SEATING
Unfortunately at this time we do not accept reservations or call ahead seating.
